At The West House, nestled in Dundee's vibrant culinary scene, the dining experience transcends mere meals to become moments of joy. This bustling restaurant has garnered a reputation as one of the city's top brunch destinations, evidenced by impressive reviews from patrons. The avocado toast and breakfast burrito are standouts, offering fresh, flavorful options that perfectly complement their fresh-pressed juices like Beet Boost and Go Green. One particular highlight is their pizza, noted for a wonderfully thin and crispy base. Even non-pizza enthusiasts, like customer Jackie Low, have been won over by its deliciousness. The ambience strikes a balance between liveliness and comfort, making it a great spot for social gatherings. Diners rave about the presentation as well, particularly the Scottish Breakfast served in a skillet, which adds an appealing visual touch to the meal. However, it’s the poached eggs and hearty omelettes that steal the show, as Steven Knox points out, being cooked to perfection each time. While guests may face a wait for a table, it's a testament to The West House's popularity. With a friendly atmosphere, attentive service, and an array of delicious dishes, The West House is a must-visit for anyone in search of an exceptional dining experience in Dundee.

Went here for the first time at the weekend with my friends. I was dubious as the menu was not huge. Omg I'm not a pizza lover, but it was delicious. Base was so thin and crispy and huge. Wine was delicious as well. I will definitely be back.

The West House is easily one of the best brunch spots in Dundee, and the difficulties getting in are proof of that. It can be tough to get a table, especially on weekends, but it’s absolutely worth the wait. The poached eggs are top tier—perfectly runny every time—and the omelettes are packed with flavour and cooked just right. If you're in the mood for something heartier, their pizzas are also excellent, with a great base and fresh toppings. The atmosphere is lively without being too loud, and the service is quick once you're seated. Get in there sharp, though, if you want to guarantee a spot!

Had full breakfast was served in a frying pan was a nice touch and great presentation. Hot chocolate was nice. Staff were fine. Could do with music on or if so volume up a little. Only issue was butter was solid so couldn't use.

A very busy little place. The staff took our order and the food took a while to come, looked lovely, really well presented.

We were recommended this place by a friend of ours and it certainly was a great recommendation! There are plenty of seating options and the atmosphere is great! I got the Scottish Breakfast and everything was delicious - I adored the presentation and how it comes in a massive skillet! Can’t wait to come back agin!

Amazing food & drink, attentive staff topped off with a lovely atmosphere. This wee gem of a cafe come restaurant is a must visit if you are staying in Dundee. Booking highly recommended as there were a few turned away while we were there. We were staying at the Central Travelodge and looking for breakfast. It is a little expensive but very much worth every penny. We had two breakfasts with drinks (see pics ) and it cost 26.40. If we stayed in Dundee we would definitely return. Thank you West House for a lovely experience.

Absolutely delicious, fresh food. Had half pizzas and soup/wedges, all looked and tasted fantastic. Very kind and polite staff, and gave us options for vegan / intolerant eaters. Gorgeous interior too!

Stumbled across this wonderful cafe serving gf pizza and pasta using the find me gluten free app. It was very busy so we had a wee wait but it was well worth it for the absolutely delicious gluten free and dairy free half pizza I enjoyed with a small bowl of sweet potato, carrot and butternut squash soup. Only 10.75. It's the best gluten free pizza I've had in the ten years I've not been able to eat gluten. Staff are very friendly. Music was very loud and difficult to have a conversation when we first arrived as people were speaking loudly to be heard but by the end of the meal some people had left and the music was quieter so it was a lovely relaxing ambience and able to have a conversation.
